Mary Walsh Harbison, 83, of Yardley, PA died peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Warrington, PA after her long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Trenton, NJ. Mary was a long time resident of Yardley since 1965.

Mary is a graduate of Cathedral Catholic High School in Trenton and St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing in Trenton. While raising her children, she worked part time for doctors in private practice in the Bucks County and Mercer County areas.

Mary is the daughter of the late Warren and Celestine Colligan Walsh, sister of the late Jack Walsh and the beloved wife of the late John L. Harbison. John and Mary were high school sweethearts and were happily married for sixty years. She is the devoted mother of Mary Jane and her husband Reed Laughlin of Dillsburg, PA, Nancy and her husband John Scarpiello of Yardley and Timothy and his wife Connie Harbison of Hillsborough, NJ. Mary is the proud grandmother of Caitlin, Courtney and Colin Laughlin, Sean and Meghan Scarpiello and Holden, Emma and Ashton Harbison.

As a member of the Yardley Country Club for many years, she enjoyed playing golf and bridge. Her other hobbies included gardening, going to the movies, exercising, taking care of her pets, walking, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She especially loved spending time at the Jersey shore every year with her family. Over the years, she and her husband traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Ireland, Bermuda and many places in the US. Her family and grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was also actively involved in her parish as a CCD teacher for many years at Holy Trinity Church in Morrisville, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mary's Life Celebration on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 10 to 11 AM and to her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Interment to follow at 1 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
